Should be seventeen years and older, proclaim God's Holy Word at Mass, welcome the congregation, read the prayers of the Faithful, and make the announcements. They are responsible for preparing the readings ahead of time in order to read clearly and with meaning and for finding a replacement if they are unable to read on a scheduled date. Training is required before names are added to the schedule.
