Visits are made to the two local hospitals each week to bring the concern and support of the Parish Community to our sick. Parish Hospital Visitors who are also Eucharistic Ministers are able to take Communion to the patients. This is a scheduled ministry for the full 52 weeks of the year with a meeting being held every two months. Those interested in this Ministry must not only like people, but be extremely sensitive to their needs whether it be a desire to talk, to be left alone or, above all, for privacy. Training is given in the Parish and at the hospitals since ministers are responsible to both. A meeting with the group's Spiritual Director is also required due to the sensitive nature and specialized needs of this particular ministry.
